In addition to this, the raw text content can be edited using a set of WYSIWYG controls, similar to those in any Word Processing application. Content can be cut-and-pasted from any other application into PublishingMedia if required.
An Article can also consist of several sections or blocks, each with a different Article Template. This enables each Article to have it's own complex layout of content. For example -
the first section of the Article may be a main Heading, with body text set to the left and an image on the right. The second section may be 2 images side by side. The third section may be a Sub-heading with text only. All these sections make up a single Article in PublishingMedia.
Further controls over the Article exist within PublishingMedia, mainly to control delivery of the Article, including go-live and expiry dates, Article categories, direct URLs, email and print friendly versioning, meta-tagging and access permissions. Articles can also include linking through to discussion topics and database records. All Article content can be automatically indexed for Site Search functionality.
Articles can be used to populate a Page automatically based on a set of chosen rules, such as the latest entries, specific categories, keywords etc., - thus providing the ability to build sophisticated dynamic pages from the content entered into PublishingMedia.
