PublishingMedia - Modular Content and Web site Management System for Publishers

PAGE LAYOUT

 At a glance:

PublishingMedia provides total flexibility over the way a page is divided up and the content positioned and delivered.

The page area (designated within the Design Template) can be divided into any number of 'Panels'.  These Panels can, in turn, be sub-divided into rows and columns of further Panels, to provide any complexity of page layout grid required for housing content.

Each Panel created within the page area/grid then has it's own settings to control its size, background colours, row and column spans and most importantly ... which content from within the system is to appear in the panel.

At page level it is also possible to over-ride any of the Stylesheet (Design Template) areas surrounding the page with different elements.  This means that you could, for instance, remove the User Login panel in the surrounding template and replace it with a new menu, specifically for that page.

Pages can be built to deliver content which is dynamically sampled from that available in the system.  Sampling can be based on criteria such as date, categories, keywords, etc., and can be displayed as a set of results (shortlistings) or as full article results.  This can be seen most effectively on www.totalgames.net and www.e-tid.com as examples.

Page background colours and images can be set.  Access permissions for the page and Search Engine 'Meta-tagging' and 'Meta Descriptions' can also be input and the page can be given a distinct direct Web address (URL) such as www.yoursite.com/news - handy for marketing and promotional purposes.
