PublishingMedia - Modular Content and Web site Management System for Publishers

DESIGN TEMPLATING

 At a glance:

Overall site design in Publishingmedia is controlled using the Stylesheets module.  A Stylesheet is a site 'skeleton' containing 'placeholders', into which the various elements of the site design can be positioned and displayed.  This is the 'design template', which can subsequently be applied to any page created within the system.

Once the Stylesheet is coded, PublishingMedia gives you complete control over which design elements appear where in the template.

Any number of Stylesheets can be built, with different elements and designs, providing you with the ability to brand your site as you wish, from page to page.

As an alternative, you can start with an overall design for the Home page and apply this to pages throughout the site.  There is also the option to then 'over-ride' any of the individual Stylesheet elements in each page as you wish.  This means you can change graphics, menus and other content, within the design for any individual page delivered, without the need to generate a new Stylesheet.
