PublishingMedia - Modular Content and Web site Management System for Publishers

FORUMS

 At a glance:

Talking shop!  Peer-to-peer discussion and advice is often the best way to build communities and hence encourage repeat visits to your web site.

PublishingMedia Forums is a fully-featured Discussion Board module, closely integrated with the rest of the modules with the system so that there is only one login required for all parts of the site.

From a Users' perspective, all of the features you would expect of a professional Discussion Forum exist as standard in PublishingMedia - the ability to upload images to profiles, have buddy lists, email notifications of postings, rich text editing, emoticons, advanced searching, private messaging, etc.

From an Administration point of view, there are extensive controls to set-up, manage and moderate the Forums and Users.  You choose how you want the Forums and Topics to run, who has access to them, and even ban 'problem' members.

Use this module to set up 'Ask the Expert' forums, or set-up a specific set of Topics on subjects relevant to your marketplace or industry.  Link editorial Articles in the site to Forum Discussions on the same subject or category.  It's a great way of getting an insight into your target audience.

On some sites, the 'traffic' to the Forums can equate to as much as 60% of your total site activity.  The email 'notifications' to each member, when a posting is made, naturally increases your repeat traffic. Never underestimate the power of the community
