PublishingMedia - Modular Content and Web site Management System for Publishers

PERSONALISATION

 At a glance:

Regular site Users like to be able to get the best out of a site during their visit, preferably in as short a time as possible.  We have all seen the functionality of personalisation on sites such as 'My Yahoo', where you can control which content and components you want to see each time you visit.

Now PublishingMedia provides you with the ability to alter not only the content displayed to a User, based on their Profile or Group membership, but also the Design and layout of the site!

The Permissions system within PM gives you the ability to control access to content at Menu, Page, Article and Database record levels, and by User or User Group.  It will even allow you to apply different site Design Templates (Stylesheets) based on Group membership.

This means you can have different site 'sections' for 'Subscribers/Members' and even provide them with a different design for their special section.  The same Permissions system also allows you to implement 'subscription-only' or 'paid-for' content within the site.

Access to content can also be controlled by Inclusion or Exclusion of Users or Groups and based on whether the User is Logged in or not.

  • Personalisation of site views
  • Controlled by User profile data at User Group level
  • Ability to change Design Templates for different User Groups
  • Implementation of Subscription or Paid-for Content
  • Content permissions available at Menu, Page, Article or record level
  • User-definable personalisation setting in Profile
